Our Story: From Research to Leading Search Technology
SIMUFORM was founded in 2006 to make industrial processes more efficient through modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.
Our roots go back to the early 2000s at TU Dortmund, where the first methods for data analysis were developed.
In 2008, a major strategic shift took place: instead of forming technology, the new focus was placed on geometric similarity search.
With the development of the “geometric fingerprint,” an innovative method was created to identify parts quickly and without complex classification within large data volumes.
This laid the foundation for our software SIMILIA AI, which achieved its breakthrough in 2010 when it impressed in a benchmark test conducted by the BMW Group.
Since then, we have continuously developed SIMILIA AI and expanded it with powerful functions such as cost calculation.
Today, companies across industries rely on our intelligent, AI-driven search technology to use data efficiently, optimize processes, and reduce costs.
